Pedro-Martín Bartolomé

Pedro-Martin has been the Clinical Director at Barton Lodge since 2017.

He attended the University of Zaragoza (Spain), College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his Veterinary Medicine degree in 1986. After arriving in the UK in 1990, he initially worked at a busy PDSA hospital for 5 years before moving into private small animal practice.

Pedro-Martin is a very experienced and dedicated veterinary surgeon. His main interests are dentistry and surgery, performing complicated soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. Animal welfare and ethics are hugely important to him and he always treats all pets as his own

For many years, Pedro-Martín has been heavily involved with the running of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), where he has been chair of the Metropolitan region and chair of PetSavers (BSAVA’s charity), among other positions of responsibility. He is also a member of the British Veterinary Dental Association (BVDA) and British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association (BVOA).

Pedro-Martin is the proud owner of a dog and a cat.
