Full-time and Part-Time Veterinary Receptionists required to join the friendly team in our award-winning and busy Veterinary Practice for approximately 40 hours per week full-time and 20-30 hours per week part-time. Normally, Reception requires cover 7.45am to 7.15pm and Saturdays 8am to 1pm, but since Covid we are temporarily working slightly different hours. Currently the shifts are 11 hours with 1-hour unpaid break for lunch and 2 x paid 15-minute breaks – 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. The rota allows for a good work/life balance, Monday - Friday, including a day off for full-time staff, and every other Saturday. We are closed every Sunday and Bank Holiday.
A dedicated, friendly, resilient and energetic person is needed, with excellent telephone and face-to face communication skills plus empathy with our pet owning clients. Previous relevant customer care experience, computer literacy, good keyboard skills, including Word and Excel competency are essential. Receptionists are extremely important members of our team, as they are on the front line and are the first point of contact with our clients. They are pivotal for maintaining our exceptional level of customer care, both to our pet patients and their human carers.
The job also carries some administrative duties to support our office staff. Support and CPD will be provided both in house and externally to develop the required skills.
