Álvaro Benítez

After graduating from Córdoba University (Spain) in 2011, Álvaro did an externship at a referral hospital in Hamburg (Germany) and a rotating internship at the University Hospital in Córdoba. After that, he moved to the UK, where he worked in general practice for a year before moving to emergency work and spending almost 3 years working for Vets Now, the company that takes care of our out-of-hour cases. Finally, before joining Barton Lodge, he spent another two years in general practice and emergency work at a busy clinic.

His passion for helping very sick animals, made him pursue the General Certificate in Emergency and Surgery, which he now holds.

Outside work, he loves spending time with his family and walking his rescued lurcher cross, Rumba.
