Meritxell Peris LVM MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
Meritixell(Meri) joined Barton Lodge Veterinary Centre in 2002. She qualified as a vet at the University of Barcelona, Spain in 1998. In 2005 she gained a general certificate in Feline Medicine. During her degree she worked in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory of the University where she gained experience in haematology, cytology and laboratory techniques. After graduating she worked in a referral hospital in the province of Barcelona where she was a member of the Internal Medicine team and Head of the Clinical Laboratory service.
In 2002 she moved to England and joined Barton Lodge Veterinary Centre. Her main interest is internal medicine with all its disciplines. She enjoys treating all small animal species but has a special interest in cats. Meri is pictured here with her Spanish cat Pino who has also come to live in England along with Meri's other cat Leo.
