Opening Hours

Barton Lodge Veterinary Centre reception is open from 8.00am to 7 pm Mondays to Fridays.
Convenient 15 minute routine appointments are available over a wide time range from 8.30am to 12noon and from 2pm to 6.45pm each weekday.
On Saturdays reception is open from 8.00am to 5pm. Saturday appointments are routinely available between 8.30am-12noon and in the afternoon by arrangement. Take a Practice Tour
We have a 24 hour emergency service run by Vets Now. Outside our routine hours, Vets Now staff are right here on-site continuously so you can always contact and arrange to see experienced veterinary staff. See Night Service for more details.

Coming from Berkhamsted, Kings Langley or Bovingdon it is quite easy to find us in central Hemel Hempstead, on the corner of Midland and Alexandra Road, just near the Marlowes. See the map below and click for directions to our location. For your convenience we have a large free car park adjacent to Barton Lodge Veterinary Centre, with the entrance and exits on Midland Road.

All initial appointments are scheduled at 15 minutes length to give us time to thoroughly evaluate your pet's problem. It is usually possible for you to request an appointment with the vet of your choice. Our vets are interested in following their patient's progress so we arrange re-examinations with the same vet whenever possible.
