Sadly flystrike is a common, extremely distressing serious, and if untreated, fatal condition affecting rabbits during the warm Spring and Summer months and into the Autumn. We regularly see cases every year. Flystrike occurs when a rabbit develops soiled matted fur and sores usually around the rear end.
