cold mouth sniffs (cold like) watery eys is it possable for a dog to get a cold?? no cough

- p chapman

Hello P Chapman

Sorry for the delay in answering your question.
The short answer is no it is not likely that your dog has a 'common cold' as in the human sense because dogs are not susceptible to the same viruses as humans. However, there are plenty of viruses and other types of infections that dogs can develop that will cause respiratory symptoms as you describe. Dogs can also develop allergies that might cause runny eyes and a runny nose. If your dog is still showing symptoms as you described it would be best to get a check up with your vet. Treatment could be needed.
